CLINDAMYCIN & ADAPALENE GEL

This medicine contains clindamycin andadapalene as active ingredients.

Clindamycin is in aclass of medications called lincomycin antibiotics.

Clindamycin is usedto treat certain types of bacterial infections.

Adapalene is ina class of medications called retinoid-like compounds.

Adapalene is athird-generation topical retinoid primarily used in the treatment ofmild-moderate acne, and is also used off-label to treat keratosis pilaris.

HOW TO USE:Gel should be applied to the affected area once daily (in theevening just before bedtime) by applying a thin film of the gel onto the skin. Wash and dry thewhole area to be treated before applying the gel/cream. If the skin is greasy, you may consider using a mild skin cleansingagent.

PHARMACOKINETICS:
Drug absorbed through skin after topical application,used only 2g of 0.6% gel. The half-life of drug is 0.6% gel id between 7-30hours. Almost 25% of drug metabolised in the body. 75% of drug remainsunchanged and eliminated by the biliary route.

Before using the medication tell your doctorif you are allergic to it. Tell your doctor if you have any problem. Do not usethis medicine if you are having open wounds.
