ETHAMSYLATE 250 MGTABLETS

Etamsylatis ahaemostatic agent, prescribed for the management of blood loss in menorrhagia,and after surgery.

Etamsylate is a haemostatic agent used in human and veterinary medicine tocontrol spontaneous and postoperative haemorrhage.

It is used forProphylaxis and control of haemorrhages from small blood vessels, neonatalintraventricularhaemorrhage, capillary bleeding of different etiology.

It reduces bleedingfrom very small blood vessels (capillaries).

HOW TO USE: Take the medicine by mouth 30 min beforetaking the meals and at the bed time. Do not take over dose this may cause sideeffects. Take your doctor’s advice if you have any confusion about taking ofdose.

PHARMACOKINETICS:

Rapidly and completely absorbed from GI tract.

Distribution: Readily permeates human blood cells and other body cells; notprotein-bound.

PRECAUTIONS: Usecautiously when giving drug to pregnant patients, breast-feeding patients, orpatients with hepatic insufficiency. Dosage adjustments are required inpatients with severe disease.
