AZITHROMYCIN 200MGDRY SYRUP

This syrup containsAzithromycin as active ingredients.

Azithromycin is in aclass of medications called macrolide antibiotics.

Azithromycin is anantibiotic used for the treatment of a number of bacterial infections.

It's widely used totreat chest infections suchas pneumonia, infections of the nose and throat such assinus infection (sinusitis), skin infections, Lyme disease, andsome sexually transmitted infections.

HOW TO USE: Take this medication by mouth with or without food, asdirected by your doctor, usually every 4 hours. For powder packets, empty theentire contents of the packet onto the tongue and swallow. Drink plenty offluids while taking thismedication.

PHARMACOKINETICS:
Absorption: Well absorbed orally.

Drug and its major metabolite, mercaptopurine, aredistributed throughout the body; both are 30% protein-bound. its metabolitescross the placental barrier.

Metabolism: Metabolized primarily to mercaptopurine.

Excretion: Small amounts are excreted in urine intact; most of a givendose is excreted in urine as secondary metabolites.

PRECAUTIONS: Contraindicatedin patients hypersensitive to drug. Use cautiously in patients receiving otherperipheral dilators and in those with aortic stenosis, heart failure, or severehepatic disease.

STORAGECONDITIONS: Store in cool and dry place,away from direct heat and light. Do not place in bathroom or kitchen. Keep awayfrom the children and pet.
