CARBONYL IRON, FOLIC ACID, ZINCSULPHATE & VIT B12 TABLETS

This combination product contains a mineral (iron)along with 3 vitamins ( vitamin B12, and folic acid).

It is used to treat or prevent a lack ofthese nutrients which may occur in certain health conditions(e.g., anemia, pregnancy, poor diet, and surgery recovery).

Iron is an important mineral that the body needs toproduce red blood cells.

Vitamin C improves the absorption of iron fromthe stomach. Vitamin B12 is important for normal blood,cells, and nerves.

HOW TO USE: Take this medicinetwo times per day with milk or water. Take this medicine as advice by yourdoctor, Do not chew or crush this tablet. Be aware of contraindications.

PHARMACOKINETICS:

Absorption: After oral administration, vitamin B₁₂ isabsorbed irregularly from the distal small intestine. 

Distributed into the liver, bone marrow, andother tissues, including the placenta.

Metabolism: Cyanocobalamin and hydroxocobalamin aremetabolized in the liver.
Excretion: In healthy people receiving only dietary vitamin B₁₂,about 3 to 8 mcg of the vitamin is secreted into the GI tract daily, mainlyfrom bile, and all but about 1 mcg is reabsorbed.

Use cautiously in patients with impaired renal function, renal arterystenosis, or serious autoimmune diseases (especially lupus erythematosus) andin those taking drugs that affect WBC counts or immune response.

STORAGECONDITIONS: Store incool and dry place, away from direct heat and light. Do not place in bathroomor kitchen. Keep away from the children and pet.
