ARTEMETHER &LUMEFANTRINE DRY SYRUP

This syrupcontains Artemether and Lumefantrine as active ingredients.

Artemether is amedication used for the treatment of malaria. 

The combinationof artemether and lumefantrine is used to treat certainkinds of malaria infections (a serious infection that is spread by mosquitoesin certain parts of the world).

Artemether andlumefantrine should not be used to prevent malaria.

Lumefantrine isan antimalarial drug. It is only used in combination with artemether.

HOWTO USE: Take thismedication by mouth with or without food, as directed by your doctor, usuallyevery 4 hours. For powder packets, empty the entire contents of the packet ontothe tongue and swallow. Drink plenty of fluids while taking this medication.

PHARMACOKINETICS:
Artemether absorbed in body after the oral and I.M. administration. Theabsorption of Artemether increases when taken with food. Almost 47%-76% ofArtemether binds with the blood plasma protein.The half-lie of the medicine isbetween 1.9-2.2 hours.The Artemether eliminated through the hepatic pathway.

PRECAUTIONS: Contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to drug. Use cautiously inpatients receiving other peripheral dilators and in those with aortic stenosis,heart failure, or severe hepatic disease.

STORAGECONDITIONS: Store incool and dry place, away from direct heat and light. Do not place in bathroomor kitchen. Keep away from the children and pet.
