CEFIXIME 200 MG&OFLOXACIN 200 MG TABLETS

Cefixime is used totreat certain infections caused by bacteria such as bronchitis (infection ofthe airway tubes leading to the lungs); gonorrhea (a sexually transmitteddisease); and infections of the ears, throat, tonsils, and urinary tract.

This medicationis used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. 

Ofloxacin belongsto a class of drugs called quinolone antibiotics.

It works by stoppingthe growth of bacteria. This antibiotic treats only bacterial infections.

Common SideEffects

Yellowing eyes/skin, 

Dark urine,

Unusual tiredness,

New signs ofinfection (e.g., persistent sore throat, fever),

Easybruising/bleeding.

HOW TO USE: Take this medicinetwo times per day with milk or water. Take this medicine as advice by yourdoctor, Do not chew or crush this tablet. Be aware of contraindications.

PHARMACOKINETICS:

Absorption: About 30% to 50% is absorbed followingoral administration. The suspension form provides a higher serum level than thetablet form. Absorption is delayed by food, but the total amount absorbed isn’taffected.

Widely distributed; about 65% is bound to plasma proteins.
Metabolism: About 50% is metabolized.

Excretion: Excreted primarily in the urine. In patients with end-stagerenal disease, half-life may be prolonged to 11 1/2 hours.

PRECAUTIONS: Contraindicatedin patients hypersensitive to drug or other cephalosporins. Use cautiously inpatients with impaired renal function.

STORAGECONDITIONS: Store in cool and dry place,away from direct heat and light. Do not place in bathroom or kitchen. Keep awayfrom the children and pet.
