LEVOSALBUTAMOL,AMBROXOL & GUAIFENESIN 100 ML SYRUP

This syrup containsLevosalbutamol, ambroxol and guaipihenesine as an active ingredient.

Levalbuterolis used to prevent or relieve the wheezing, shortness of breath,coughing, and chest tightness.

Ambroxol isindicated as "secretolytic therapy in bronchopulmonary diseases associatedwith abnormal mucus secretion and impaired mucus transport.

Guaifenesin isan expectorant. It helps loosen congestion in your chest and throat, making iteasier to cough out through your mouth.

Common SideEffects

Dizziness.

Drowsiness.

Decreased uric acidlevels.

Stomach pain.

Nausea.

HOW TO USE: Take this medication by mouthwith or without food, as directed by your doctor, usually every 4 hours. Forpowder packets, empty the entire contents of the packet onto the tongue andswallow. Drink plenty of fluids while taking this medication.

PHARMACOKINETICS:
Absorption: The plasma level after I.V. administrationis comparable to that observed for equivalent oral doses (on a mg/mg basis).

Mean volume of distribution ranges from 89 to 112 L aftersingle and multiple 500-mg doses, indicating widespread distribution into bodytissues.

Metabolism: Undergoes limited metabolism. The only identified metabolitesare the desmethyl and N-oxide metabolites, which have little relevantpharmacologic activity.

Excretion: Primarily excreted unchanged in the urine. Mean terminalhalf-life is about 6 to 8 hours.

PRECAUTIONS: Contraindicatedin patients hypersensitive to drug. Use cautiously in patients receiving otherperipheral dilators and in those with aortic stenosis, heart failure, or severehepatic disease.

STORAGECONDITIONS: Store in cool and dry place,away from direct heat and light. Do not place in bathroom or kitchen. Keep awayfrom the children and pet.
