NORTRIPTYLINE HCL 25 MG TABLETS

This tablet containsNortriptyline as active ingredient.

Nortriptyline isantidepressant medicine.

Nortriptyline isin a group of medications called tricyclic antidepressants.

Nortriptyline is amedication used to treat depression, neuropathic pain, attention deficithyperactivity disorder.

It is also used forstopping of smoking and drinking.

Nortriptyline isnot recommended for use in children.

Absorption: Absorbed rapidly from the GI tract after oral administration.

Metabolism:  Metabolized by the liver; a significant first-pass effect mayaccount for variability of serum levels in different patients taking the samedosage.

Excretion:  Mostly excreted in urine; some in feces, via the biliarytract.
