MEFENAMIC ACID 500 MG& PARACETAMOL 450 MG TABLETS

This tablet containsMefenamic acid and Paracetamol as active ingredient.

Mefenamic acid is amember of the anthranilic acid derivative.

It belogs to class ofnonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID).

Paracetamol is calledas acetamenophen which is used to treat mild or moderate pain and fever.

Paracetamol is safestpain killer which rarly has side effects.

HOW TO USE: Take the medicine by mouth before taking themeals and at the bed time. Do not take over dose this may cause side effects. Takeyour doctors advice if you have any confusion about taking of dose.

PHARMACOKINETICS:
Absorption: Absorbed rapidly and completely via the GItract.

25% protein-bound. Plasma levels dont correlate well withanalgesic effect, but they do correlate with toxicity.

Metabolism: About 90% to 95% is metabolized in the liver.

Excretion: Excreted in urine. Average elimination half-life ranges from1 to 4 hours. In acute overdose, prolongation of elimination half-life iscorrelated with toxic effects. Half-life longer than 4 hours is linked tohepatic necrosis; longer than 12 hours is linked to coma.

PRECAUTIONS: If you are taking the rapidly dissolvingtablets keep your hand dry before taking medicine out of packet. Place tabletin mouth wait for it to dissolve and the swallow it with saliva.
