AMOXYCILLIN 200MG& POTASSIUM CLAVULANATE 28.5MG DRY SYRUP

This syrup contains amoxycillinand potassium clavulanate as active ingredients.

Amoxycillin is apenicillin antibiotic that fights bacteria. 

Amoxycillin isused to treat many different types of infection caused by bacteria, such astonsillitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, gonorrhea.

Clavulanatepotassium is a medicine used to treat many different infectionscaused by bacteria, such as sinusitis, pneumonia, ear infections, bronchitis,urinary tract infections, and infections of the skin.

Common SideEffects

Nausea.

Vomiting.

Headache.

Diarrhea.

Stomach pain.

Skin rash or itching.

HOW TO USE: Take this medication by mouth with or without food, asdirected by your doctor, usually every 4 hours. For powder packets, empty theentire contents of the packet onto the tongue and swallow. Drink plenty offluids while taking thismedication.

PHARMACOKINETICS:
Absorption: About 80% absorbed after oraladministration.

Distributed into pleural peritoneal and synovial fluids andinto the lungs, prostate, muscle, liver, and gallbladder; it also penetratesmiddle ear, maxillary sinus and bronchial secretions, tonsils, and sputum.Amoxicillin readily crosses the placental barrier; about 17% to 20% isprotein-bound.

Metabolism: Metabolized only partially.

Excretion: Excreted mainly in urine by renal tubular secretion andglomerular filtration

PRECAUTIONS: Contraindicatedin patients hypersensitive to drug. Use cautiously in patients receiving otherperipheral dilators and in those with aortic stenosis, heart failure, or severehepatic disease.

STORAGECONDITIONS: Store in cool and dry place,away from direct heat and light. Do not place in bathroom or kitchen. Keep awayfrom the children and pet.
