DEFLAZACORT 1 MG&EPERISONE HCL 50 MG TABLETS

Deflazacort is used totreat Duchene muscular dystrophy (DMD; a progressive disease in which themuscles do not function properly) in adults and children 2 years of age andolder. 

Deflazacort isin a class of medications called corticosteroids. 

Eperisonehydrochloride is an analgesic and antispastic drug used forspastic diseases such as spastic paralysis in cerebrovascular diseases,cervical spondylosis, and periarthritis.

PHARMACOKINETICS:

Deflazacort is rapidly absorbed after oral administrationwith peak concentration occurring within 1-2 hours.One study determined the volume of distribution to be 204 ±84 L.¹ . After oral ingestion, deflazacort is deacetylated atposition 21 by plasma esterases. Urinary excretion is the major route ofdeflazacort elimination.

PRECAUTIONS: Contraindicatedin patients hypersensitive to drug and in those with severe bone marrowsuppression. Use cautiously in patients with impaired renal or hepaticfunction, leukopenia.

STORAGECONDITIONS: Store in cool and dry place,away from direct heat and light. Do not place in bathroom or kitchen. Keep awayfrom the children and pet.
