METFORMIN 500 MG& GLICLAZIDE 80 MG TABLETS

This tablets containsMetformin and Glicazide as active ingredient.

Metformine belongs toa class of drugs called sulfonylureas, and metformin is in a class of drugscalled biguanides. 

Metformin is thefirst-line medication for the treatment of type 2 diabetes, particularly inpeople who are overweight.

Gliclazide is alsoantidiabetic medicine which is used in treatment of diabetes mellitus type 2.

Absorption: Absorbed from GI tract with absolutebioavailability being about 50% to 60%. Food decreases the extent and slightlydelays absorption.

Metabolism: Not metabolized.

Excretion: 90% is excreted in urine. Elimination half-life in plasma isabout 6 1/4 hours and 17 1/2 hours in blood.
