PARACETAMOL 500 MG & DOMPERIDONE 20 MGTABLETS

This tablet contains twomedicines: Paracetamol and Domperidone.

This tablet is used to treat migraine.

Paracetamolis pain reliever and fever reducer which blocks the release of certain chemicalmessengers that cause pain and fever associated with migraine.

Domperidone isa prokinetic which works on the region in the brain that controls vomitingcaused due to migraine.  

Domperidonealso increases the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing food tomove more easily through the stomach.

PHARMACOKINETICS

Acetaminophenhas 88% oral bioavailability and reaches its highest plasma concentration 90minutes after ingestion. Peak blood levels of free acetaminophen are notreached until 3 hours after rectal administration of the suppository form ofacetaminophen and the peak blood concentration is approximately 50% of theobserved concentration after the ingestion of an equivalent oral dose (10-20mcg/mL).
