AMPICILLIN & CLOXACILLIN INJECTION 250 MG

This injectioncontains two medicines: Ampicilln and Cloxacillin.

Thisinjection belongs to the group of medications known as antibiotics,specifically to the family of antibiotics known as penicillins.

Itworks by stopping the growth of bacteria.

Ampicillin injectionis used to treat certain infections that are caused by bacteria suchas meningitis and lung, blood, heart, urinary tract, and gastrointestinal tractinfections. 

Cloxacillinis most commonly used to treat infections of the skin, bone, heart valve,blood, and lung.

HOWTO USE: Remove the cap. Draw air into the syringe. Insert air into the vial.Withdraw the medication. Remove air bubbles. Insert the needle.

PHARMACOKINETICS

Absorption: About 85% ofampicillin is absorbed after an I.V.

Distribution: Distributedinto pleural, peritoneal, and synovial fluids, lungs, prostate, liver, andgallbladder.

Metabolism: Onlypartially metabolized.

Excretion: Excreted inurine by renal tubular secretion and glomerular filtration.

PRECAUTIONS:

Do not enter a medication vial,bag, or bottle with a used syringe or needle. Never use medications packaged assingle-dose or single-use formore than one patient. Always use aseptictechnique when preparing and administering injections.

STORAGECONDITIONS: Store incold and dry place, away from direct heat and light. Do not place in bathroomor kitchen. Keep away from the children and pet.
