KETOCONAZOLE IDHQ, TOLNAFTATE, GENTAMICIN &CLOBETASOL PROPIONATE CREAM

This medicine contains:Ketoconazole, Tolnaftate, Gentamicin and Clobetasol propionate.

This medicineis used in the treatment skin infections.

Ketoconazole isalso used to treat a skin condition known as pityriasis,a fungal infection that causes a lightening or darkening ofthe skin of the neck, chest etc.

Tolnaftate isan antifungal that works by preventing the growth of fungus.

Gentamicin worksby stopping the growth of certain bacteria. 

Clobetasol isa steroid. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers that makethe skin red, swollen and itchy.

HOWTO USE: apply a small amount of medication to cover the affected areaof skin with a thin, even film and rub in gently. The area may be covered witha gauze dressing or gelatin packing if your doctor has told you to do so.

PHARMACOKINETICS

It has not beendemonstrated to induce its own metabolism.Elimination Elimination from plasma is biphasic with a half-life of 2 hoursduring the first 10 hours and 8 hours thereafter. Approximately 13% of the doseis excreted in the urine, of which 2 to 4% is unchanged drug.
