Irbesartan is in aclass of medications called angiotensin II receptor antagonists.

Irbesartan is amedication used to treat high blood pressure, heart failure, and diabetickidney disease.

Irbesartan isused to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and to help protectthe kidneys from damage due to diabetes.
