It is anazole antifungal that works by preventing the growth of fungus.

Sertaconazole used to treat fungal infections of the skin suchas athlete's foot, Dhobie Itch, thrush, ringworm, and dry, flaky skin.

PHARMACOKINETICS

Sertaconazole has severalknown mechanisms of action.It is considered fungistatic, fungicidal, antibacterial, antiinflammatory,antitrichomonal, and antipruritic. Like other imidazole antifungals, sertaconazole blocks thesynthesis of ergosterol by inhibiting the 14α-demethylase enzyme.
