RABEPRAZOLE SODIUM 20MG& LEVOSULPIRIDE75 MG CAPSULES

Rabeprazole belongs to a class of drugsknown as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs).

Rabeprazole is used totreat duodenal ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), andZollinger-Ellison syndrome, a condition where the stomach produces too muchacid.

Levosulpiride is the levo-enantiomer of sulpiride, a well-knownantiemetic, antidyspeptic and antipsychotic drug.

This study was undertaken to investigatethe effects of levosulpiride ondyspeptic symptoms and gastric motor function in a group of patients withfunctional dyspepsia showing delayed gastric emptying.

Side Effects

Bloating or swelling of the face, arms,hands, lower legs, or feet.

General feeling of tiredness and weakness.

Absorption: Drug is acid labile; enteric coatingallows it to pass through the stomach relatively intact.

96.3% plasma protein-bound.

Metabolism: Extensively metabolized by the liver to inactive compounds.

Excretion: 90% is eliminated in urine as metabolites. Remaining 10% ofmetabolites are eliminated in feces. Plasma half-life is 1 to 2 hours.
