CLINDAMYCIN 20 GM GEL

This medicine contains clindamycin andbenzoyl peroxide as active ingredients.

Clindamycin is in aclass of medications called lincomycin antibiotics.

Clindamycin is usedto treat certain types of bacterial infections.

It is used as combinationwith other medicine for treatment of acne.

HOW TO USE:Gel should be applied to the affected area once daily (in theevening just before bedtime) by applying a thin film of the gel onto the skin. Wash and dry thewhole area to be treated before applying the gel/cream. If the skin is greasy, you may consider using a mild skin cleansingagent.

PHARMACOKINETICS:
Clindamycin absorbed through skin aftertopical application, used only 2g of 0.3% gel. The half-life of Clindamycin0.3% gel id between 7-51 hours. Almost 25% of drug metabolised in the body.75%of drug remains unchanged and eliminated by the biliary route.
