Roxithromycin belongs to a group of medicines called macrolideantibiotics.

Roxithromycin is used to prevent and treat bacterial infection ofthe lungs, airways, urinary tract and inner layers of the skin.

Roxithromycin stops the growth of infection causing bacteria andthus resolves the symptoms.
