NORFLOXACIN 400 MG & TINIDAZOLE 600 MGTABLETS

This tablet containsNorfloxacin and Tinidazole as active ingredient.

Norfloxacin is anantibiotic that belongs to the class of fluoroquinolone antibiotics.

This medicationbelongs to a class of drugs known as quinolone antibiotics.

Tinidazole is a drugused against protozoan infections.

It works by stoppingthe growth of certain bacteria and parasites.

This antibiotictreats only certain bacterial and parasitic infections.

PHARMACOKINETICS:
Absorption: About 30% to 40% of dose is absorbed fromthe GI tract; as dose increases, percentage of absorbed drug decreases. Foodmay reduce absorption.

Distributed into renal tissue, liver, gallbladder, prostaticfluid, testicles, seminal fluid, bile, and sputum. From 10% to 15% binds toplasma proteins.

Metabolism: Unknown.

Excretion: Most of systemically absorbed drug is excreted by thekidneys, with about 30% appearing in feces. In patients with normal renalfunction, plasma half-life is 3 to 4 hours; up to 8 hours in severe renalimpairment.
