GABAPENTIN,KETOPROFEN, CAPSAICIN, METHYL SALICYLATE OINTMENT 15 GM

This Ointmentcontains Gabapentin, Ketoprofen, Capsaicin and Methyl salicylate as activeingredient.

Gabapentin is ina class of medications called anticonvulsants.

ketoprofen is usedto relieve pain, tenderness, swelling, and stiffness caused byosteoarthritis.

Capsaicin is usedto help relieve a certain type of pain known as neuralgia.

Methylsalicylate is a benzoate ester that is the methyl ester ofsalicylic acid. It has a role as a flavouring agent.

HOW TO USE: After removing any debris, such as pus or crusts, from theaffected area, apply athin layer of the ointment 2to 5 times daily over the affected area. You may cover the area with dressingor leave it exposed. Do not use the ointment in the eyes.

PHARMACOKINETICS:
Normally Gabapentine is absorbed in the small intestine. Gabapentine is slowabsorbing drug which take 3 hours to make peak plasma concentration. The normalhalf-life of Gabapentine is 5-7 hours in normal human. The only 15 ofGabapentine dose is metabolised in human the excessive dose is excreted byurination or by skin.

PRECAUTIONS: Apply ointments sparingly and only on the areas needed, not all over your body. More medicinecan be absorbed from around skin areas that rub together, like under thebreasts or between the buttocks, so apply very sparingly to these areas.

STORAGE CONDITIONS: Store in cool and dry place, away fromdirect heat and light. Do not place in bathroom or kitchen. Keep away from thechildren and pet.
