DILOXANIDE 500 MGTABLETS

Diloxanide is amedication used to treat amoeba infections. 

In places whereinfections are not common, it is a second line treatment after paromomycin whena person has no symptoms.

For people who aresymptomatic, it is used after treatment with metronidazole or tinidazole.

Diloxanide is adichloroacetamide derivative that is a luminally active agent used toeradicate cysts of E. Histolytica in asymptomatic carriers and in those whohave mild, noninvasive disease, as well as after treatment of amebiasis.
