CIPROFLOXACIN 100 MGTABLETS

It belongs to a groupof antibiotics called fluoroquinolones.

It is used totreat serious infections, or infections when other anitbiotics have notworked.

Ciprofloxacin Tabletsare used for the treatment of severe bacterial infections.

They only work withspecific strains of bacteria.

It's used totreat bacterial infections, such as: chest infections (includingpneumonia), respiratory tract, urinary tract, genital tract infections in menand women, bone and joint infections.

Nausea.

Abdominalpain.

Diarrhea.

PHARMACOKINETICS:

Metabolism: Metabolism is probably hepatic.Four metabolites have been identified.

Excretion: Excretion is primarily renal.Serum half-life is about 4 hours in adults with normal renal function.

PRECAUTIONS: Contraindicatedin patients sensitive to fluoroquinolone antibiotics. Use cautiously inpatients with CNS disorders and in those at risk for seizures.

STORAGECONDITIONS: Store in cool and dry place,away from direct heat and light. Do not place in bathroom or kitchen. Keep awayfrom the children and pet.
